Best of 2015

2015 is coming to an end and with that it's time to review some of the best tunes this year had to offer. Rounding up 2015 is an insanely difficult task and of course music is something that is individually perceived and enjoyed. That's why until now I've decided to pick the "Artist Of The Year" until now. Determining "the best" is not a very rational thing to do, so while you can enjoy my list below, I encourage you to state your favourite(s) in the comments or on Twitter or Facebook.

Album of the year:

This one was actually quite easy for me to pick, although I felt that having chosen the artist behind this album as last years "Artist Of The Year" you might think there's some bias involved here. Yet, I think that this artist has shown the most remarkable development with his productions and with the release of his latest album.

I am talking about Tom Misch's "Beat Tape 2".
Unlike "Beat Tape 1", which was, as it said on the tin a "Beat Tape", "Beat Tape 2" is a more 'grown up' project with loads of collaborations and some beautiful vocals and lyrics. This album has exceeded my expectations by far and it is the album I've enjoyed the most this year.

If you haven't already checked out "Beat Tape 2", you can check it out here in full:

Single of the year

Here there won't be any bias involved, because here we all agree. According to the MYWLT Hype Machine feed, the single having received the most hearts (+18K).

"Roses" by The Chainsmokers feat. Rozes

While "#Selfie" gave the duo their career liftoff, "Roses" was the track that sent them into orbit. By doing so, Alex and Drew also proved to the masses that their music wasn't just based on a pop culture prank, but contains deeper context and emotion. Since their start, The Chainsmokers have been a fixed inventory here on MYWLT and for a good reason. Here's "Roses" (or at least some of it):

Remix of the year (+ runner up/personal favourite)

There are soooooooo many remixes being released all the time and as a music blogger it can sometimes be a challenge when an artist starts a remix competition and I have to listen to the first 50 awesome remixes of the same track. Having to choose which to post is sometimes a nightmare. So to determine the "remix of the year" I will again look at the Hype Machine score, but I'll also disclose my personal favourite.

The remix receiving the most hearts this year is also the track receiving the most hearts in total. Remix of the year is:

Tove Lo - Talking Body (Gryffin Remix)

Everything about this track is awesome. The guitar melody, the beat, the piano chords...all of it! With +20K hearts this one officially takes the crown!

As a runner up...or rather the remix that takes the unofficial "personal favourite" prize is:

Blackbear feat. G-Eazy - 90210 (Matt DiMona Remix)

With his distinct 'feel good' house sound, Matt DiMona knocked this one out of the park. The lush and atmospheric melody he created for this track just goes so so well with the Blackbear's vocal and the theme of the song.

That's it! Hope you have found some great new music here throughout 2015. Thank you for sticking around. Wishing all of you a fantastic 2016 :)

Be Together

Another great remix of Major Lazer's "Be Together" has appeared and this one was made by L.A. based trio going by the name No Suits. With a laid back vibe an simple, yet effect piano chords and and beat this one works really well. The drop comes in with some chopping effect on the vocal and some lush synth sounds that are just on point. The entire track really lets the vocal shine and that's not a bad idea at all, because it's awesome. The trio are giving their version of "Be Together" away for free, so grab a copy via the link below:

Richard

Today's post features a remix by Kids Want Techno for Julius Jetson x P. Keys' track "Richard". The Washington D.C. based duo have roughened this track up quite a bit, particularly by adding a dirty sounding bassline on the drop. This is also what gives the track its energy, making it difficult to stay still while listening to this. Get your fitness on, move about and grab a free download via the link below. I'm sure Richard Simmons would approve! Enjoy :)

Are You On Drugs

Producers MyKill and Walker have joined forces once again to remix Fine China's "Are You On Drugs". The two have made sure to maintain the darkish vibe from the original track, but added a lush sounding/subtle club vibe, which suits this track really well. The synth layers add atmosphere and the bassline they've added make the track sound nice and full bodied. MyKill and Walker's remix will be released on a vinyl re-issue of the album "The Jaws Of Life" for its 10th anniversary.

Up next is a new remix by Canadian duo Far Out, who have teamed up with Nolan Van Lith for Mako's "Smoke Filled Room". This is a proper progressive house banger, with a super energetic drop and some beautiful melodic verses to balance everything out. Consider this a late Christmas present, because it's available for absolutely free via the link below. Enjoy :)

Lessons

It's less than a week until we move on to 2016 and what better way to end a year than with a bit of disco? UK based disco maestro Ash Reynolds has released his album "Lessons" containing 11 awesome tunes. Some of the tracks have a more oldschool 80s sound, like the track "Lessons" below, but tracks like "Mysterious Vibe", "Play The Game" and "Embrace" have a more modern flavour. If you're a bit full of listening to the same ol' ABBA songs on NYE, try something new and give this album a spin. I promise you will not be disappointed! "Lessons" is out now via Bandcamp (see link below). Party on!

Elevation

Paris based producer Creange has recently released a new remix for Para One & The South African Youth Choir's track "Elevation" and it's super dope. Creange stays true to the original vibe with this one, maintaining an upbeat and positive vibe. The new bassline gives the track a cool French flavour and the rearranged vocal is also done really well. Hit play below and enjoy :)

Up next is a track by Mothica called "No One" in the DUNN & Kayge Calypso Remix. This is the first time I've listened to a track by Mothica and wow...that vocal! The way DUNN and Kayge Calypso have chopped it up on the drop and added some atmospheric and lush sounding bell sounds just add to the experience. This is track to get lost in and it's a free download too. So play it till you drop :)

Stop The F^cking Car

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you are all well and ready to spent some time with family and friends. Oh...you're just here to find some good music? Well...fine! Then you've come to the right place :)

Today's first track is called "Stop The F*cking Car" by Circa Survive, here in the Stonewall Klaxon remix. Having received support here on MYWLT several time, Stonewall Klaxon should be a name you've heard before. Also, some strangers going by the name of Adventure Club (honestly never heard of them) included this remix in their latest published Soundcloud set. So what about checking out the track below? It's a really nice one :D

Up next is a Christmas present from Ferdinand Weber and Eton Messy Records called "Alright". With some dope synth chords, a cracking beat and a Mariah Carey sample (Emotions), this track can get you moving. The track has a great rhythm and energy and it's just what you need for Christmas. Point Blank Music School: 1-2-1

First of all I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and say thank you to YOU for sticking around. Hopefully you have found some great new tunes during 2015...and if not the year isn't over yet, so there's still a chance :) Also thanks to everyone who have submitted music. Without you there wouldn't be awesome new music around!

As you might know, I have been taking part in Point Blank's Ableton Live Online Production Course and while this week has been without a new masterclass (due to the holidays), I did have my 1-2-1 Skype video chat with the instructor Freddy Cuin.

While the session only lasted 20 minutes (and it felt even shorter), we actually did cover quite a lot of steps, tips & tricks for the track that I shared with you in the last post. At first I was a bit overwhelmed with the many changes Freddy made to my track, but that did not concern me too much, knowing that the entire video chat would be recorded for me to watch it later at my own pace.

So what did Freddy do with my track? First I will let you listen to the track as it was:

The first thing Freddy noticed (and maybe you did too) is that there's no groove or swing in my track. He then started to modify my impulse beat track and make the audio clips shorter and moving them around. After a bit of trial and error he got it right and I too was starting to see the sense of adding swing.

Next Freddy started splitting up the different sounds from impulse, grouped them together and created a "Drum Bus" track. That last step is where he began to go a bit beyond the content of the first two weeks. However, it was a very good learning point and I had no problem following his steps when I re-watched the video chat the next day.

So what did it end up sounding like? I had some trouble exporting the track properly, but here is a clip of the drum bus track. Try to compare with the track above and see if you notice the difference.

Notice that lovely swing? It's not 100% perfect, but I like it :) Keep in mind that I might change this track a lot, add some more melodic parts or scrap it all together. But one of the students participating in the course also mentioned: "I've learned a lot in 20 minutes, more than I would if I was trying to find out stuff on my own". That goes for me too!

Precious Precious Silver and Gold

Producer Shoffy has prepared an early Christmas present in the form a +30 min mix containing some of his finest tunes, but also some of his personal favourites. The biggest surprise might be the inclusion of "Nocturne"  op.9 No. 2 by Chopin, but it's really a beautiful and classy way to end a mix.
Whether you're getting ready for a long drive home for Christmas (no Chris Rea pun intended), or want an alternative to that "Last Christmas" Wham jam or just want to kick back and relax, then this is for you! Enjoy :)

Tracklist:
Shoffy - Into Oblivion
Frank Ocean - Pyramids
Shoffy - Can't Go Back
Drake - Marvin's Room
Shoffy - Lonely Up Here
Jeff Buckley - Mojo Pin
Shoffy - This Land is Ours
Chopin - Nocturne op.9 No.2

Up next is an early Christmas present from producer Gryffin who has made a fine remix for Ariana Grande & The Weeknd's "Love Me Harder". If your Christmas party has a tropical theme this year, then this is just about perfect...and even if it doesn't it's still a super dope version to listen to. Gryffin isn't sparing you for a good amount of melodic bliss and a nice upbeat and positive sounding drop to get you in the right mood for the holidays! Something To Live For

Felix Cartal has release a remix package for his track "Something To Live For" feat. Nikki Yanofsky and one of the remixes included in the package is made by DIMES. With some catchy piano chords and some clever vocal chopping, he manages to create a version that is at least on par with the original. This is definitely a more clubbier version compared to the original and I like that! Give it a spin and if you dig it, pick up a copy via Beatport (see link below).

Up next is track called "Love Talk" by Dutch duo Moses & Damoz. These two producers are merely 15 years young and have created a fine dee house tune with a great rhythm and some positive sounding vibes. If they keep at it like this, they'll make it far for sure. Go Get Her

I did not see this coming, so for me this is one big Christmas surprise! Mr Carmack has teamed up with Tom Misch and Jordan Rakei for "Go Get Her" and it's obsolete to try and explain how it sounds. The only thing that annoys me is the abrupt ending, but apart from that... I am just going to leave this here so you can soak up the sounds! Enjoy :)

Aurora Borealis

Happy Sunday! Today's first track is called "Aurora Borealis" by The Griswolds, here in the Luca Lush remix. I really like the alternative/electro vibe on this one and particular the arp like melody on the drop is very catchy and energetic. Unfortunately there's no release date available for this one yet, but as always, feel free to stream it below:

U.S. based producer Su Na is responsible for the next track called "Blood" feat. Alo Lee. Talk/Brag

Today's first track is called "Talk/Brag" by Norwegian duo Philco Fiction, here in the Draper remix.
The UK based producer has given the track a more clubby vibe and done some creative work with the vocal which makes the track very recognisable. There's something really classy about this one. It doesn't sound overly complex, but it gets the work done and it sounds cool! There's no release date for this remix, but feel free to stream it all you want right here below:

Up next is a track by Panama Wedding called "Infinite High" (Bee's Knees Remix). There's a lot of funky elements in this one, but it's applied in a very pop/indie/electronica kind of way. The track has a tad of Madeon flavour about it and that's just a sign that it sounds amazing! Point Blank Music School: Week 2

Week 2: Percussion, Groove, Warping and Clip Envelopes

  • Layered Drums: multiple Impulse kits
  • Midi controllers: playing in live, OVR function
  • Hot Swap: single sounds and kits
  • Quantize, groove and swing
  • Warping explained
  • Percussion: warping loops, warp markers
  • Clip envelopes: events, automation

It's week 2 in the Point Blank Music School Ableton Live 1 Production course and things are starting to become ever so slightly more complex compared to last week. It's not the technical aspects of Ableton that are tricky, it's the fact that there are simply so many different options and work flows available that they sometimes are tricky to keep track of. Practice is the key! The videos from Point Blank that are available to each of the points you can see above are simply fantastic tools. Each process is explained step-by-step and it's always possible to re-visit the videos again and again. Particularly warping has been a tricky process for me to master and I can't say I am 100% confident in the way I use this feature, but until now I haven't even understood how it worked. Now I know how to move transient markers and how to "stretch" audio clips, both to ensure correct timing, but also in a more creative way (sound manipulation).

For the second Masterclass we got the opportunity to go over some challenges from last weeks curriculum. I presented my issues in getting time signatures right when analysis a piece of music. Conveniently others had the same challenge, so we spent a few minutes discussing this before moving on with practical examples of warping and quantizing.

This Sunday I will have my first 1-2-1 video chat with my tutor/instructor Freddy Cuin. For this occasion I have uploaded a project that I am currently working on, to get help and perhaps some nifty tips to make it sound better. Next week Point Blank is having Christmas Holidays, so the course is on standby until after Christmas. However, I will fill you in on my 1-2-1 experience next Friday and until then you can preview my current project, which will be the one we'll be working with on Sunday. Let me know what you think about it so far! :)

Oceans

Yes...it's been out for a while, but it's time for me to catch up on this brilliant version of Coasts' "Oceans" by Canadian duo Young Bombs. The synths they've used here make "Oceans" a proper summer feeling house track. It also gives the track some positive vibes, which fits with the theme of the original track. Today's first track is called "Future Is Mine" by DJ Cassidy feat. Chromeo and Wale, here in the Jetique & MYNGA remix. If you thought the original was good, they you have heard nothing yet. Xperience

"Xperience" is the title of a brand new track by Toronto based producers Soha and Adam K. Apart from the fact that these two are living legends, in case you don't know who it is you might still know them for their remix of Kaskade's 4AM (otherwise do yourself a giant favour and look it up already!!!). Now they have joined forces yet again to create this. "Xperience" is a spacey electronica track with lots of atmosphere and some really dope drums. The sound is captivating, yet also quite hypnotic in its style. It is quite literally an "Xperience" for you years. There's no mention of a release date for this one, but stay tuned and feel free to stream it all you want right here below:

Up next a remix by Parisian based Julian for Major Lazer's "Be Together" feat. Wild Belle. This is Julian's first ever upload to Soundcloud and what a debut it is. The trap style beat that he has added gives the track some extra boost and it suits the track really well. In my opinion this is better than the original! Don't Be Afraid

London based producer The Dealer has released a beautiful track called "Don't Be Afraid" and it's definitely something you should check out. With a combo containing elements of disco, house and pop and perhaps even an oriental flavour, this track is one of the more memorable I have heard in a while. This is due to the awesome vocal effect on the drop, making the track a proper earworm. The track will be out on Spotify next week, but until then feel free to stream it all you want right here:

Today's second track is called "For A Minute" by U.S. based duo TastyTreat feat. MOONZz. This is indeed a TastyTreat...for your ears! We Go Home

Swiss legend EDX is back with a new remix for The Avener feat. Adam Cohen's "We Go Home". The vibe is pretty laid back for a house track, but it's still somewhat upbeat aswell. Everything about this remix is just on point. It's not overly complex, but it doesn't need to be. It just sounds really really good! Already listening to this on repeat! Point Blank Music School: Week 1

As already announced last Sunday, I have been invited to participate in an online course at Point Blank Electronic Music School. This will be the first article in a series of 8, where I will share my experience and my progress during the course. Hopefully this will give you some insight into the structure of their online courses, but also if the learning provides any return on investment. Here's what you need to know first though:

I am not a musically trained person, I never took classes in learning an instrument or producing music. My knowledge on production comes solely from using Ableton Live 8 on a hobby level and watching a few Youtube tutorials every know and then. This often results in me having a lot of unfinished projects taking up space on my laptop, because my work either sounds like sh*t or because I don't have the creativity or musical skill to complete a track. However, now I am signed up for the Ableton Live 1: Production online course at Point Blank to hopefully conquer my own limitations.

About the course - Ableton Live 1: Production

As the title suggests this is a course focusing on Ableton. Currently I have been using Ableton Live 8, but for the course Ableton Live 9 is required. Although these two versions share a lot in terms of features, upgrading to Live 9 is something you should do to be able to participate in the feedback sessions you get during the course. In the final 8th week of the online course participants are asked to submit a piece of music that their tutor can evaluate and provide feedback on (more on that when I submit my track in the last week). Alongside the direct feedback on your own work, there are weekly masterclasses on the current curriculum. Point Blank has also newly added something they call 1-2-1, which is a private video chat session between you and the tutor, in order to answer specific questions or solve production challenges. Even when you're not in direct contact with the tutor, an online forum for the course participants is open 24/7 and it has turned out to be an excellent platform to exchange experiences, tips and tricks. The tutor also visits the forums daily to answer questions.

Masterclass Week 1 with Point Blank Instructor Freddy Cuin

Week 1: Beat Making with Impulse

  • Overview of Ableton
  • Browser: devices, session and arrange view
  • Keyboard shortcuts
  • Live packs
  • Drums: kits, Impulse, quantize, velocity tricks
  • Counting music: rhythm and tempo
  • Creating self contained projects

Week 1 can be characterised as an intro week, but it was a nice refresher on some of the basic functionality in Ableton Live. My previous knowledge on Ableton Live gave me a little head start on most subjects, but the slow start was good to help me get familiarised with Ableton Live 9. There were also some functionality I was not at all aware about and re-learning the basics of Ableton was actually really nice. The instructor Freddy Cuin did an excellent job during the first masterclass to engage every student over the chat and answer any questions on this weeks curriculum.

Speaking of curriculum, all the material becomes available as the course progresses. This week it was primarily about beat making with impulse. All instructions were very easy to read and understand. To further provide guidance, every topic also had one or more videos with direct instructions. These videos will be super helpful for me later on when things become more complex. They are great at providing visualisation of the reading material. The videos I had the opportunity to see so far were all much better than watching some random Youtube video, as they follow a certain structure and system that corresponds with the curriculum.

This weeks learning culminated with an assignment in setting up a virtual production studio. There will be assignments every week and the results will be evaluated by the online tutor.

Conclusion Week 1

Only one week has passed now, but first impressions were great! I really think Point Blank have done a great job in structuring the course. The live masterclass and chat was a good way to get introduced to the tutor and to set the expectations amongst the participants. People who are taking this course come from all around the world and have different backgrounds and skills. Some are DJs, others are classically trained, but don't know how Ableton works and then there are people who have already experience with producing and remixing. Everyone is represented in this +20 people online class and everyone gets heard.

I look forward to sharing my progress with all of you over the next few weeks :) Stay tuned!

Alive

Felix Bloxsom, better known as Plastic Plates, has made a remix for Sia's "Alive" and gone deep house with a hint of tropical. Sia's vocal has always sounded great, but it really shines on this version where the instrumental greatly compliments her vocal. The subtle sidechain on the drop gives a the remix a subtle energy and cool clubby effect that seems at home as well. "Alive" (Plastic Plates Remix) is out now on Bandcamp. Let's go tropical! German producer Dinnerdate is taking you to the rainforest with his remix of SOFI TUKKER's "Drinkee". This is one of the more experimental remixes I have heard from Dinnerdate, but that is an awesome thing. Earth Call

Fairchild recently dropped a new EP called "Touch The Sun" on Kaskade's label Arkade. The EP features 4 deep deep deep house tracks and "Earth Call" is one of them. This particular track is probably one of the deepest track I've ever featured here on the blog. As the track reaches 3:00, it opens up, becoming hypnotic, atmospheric and spacey all at the same time. It's quite a revolutionary track in the sense that it dares being different and very original. That can be said about the entire EP, but if you're not that much into deep dreamscape sounding music, it's definitely worth a second and even third listen before you judge. Fairchild has done remarkable work here and I can't wait to hear more. "Touch The Sun" is out now and available via the link below:

Up next is a new remix by Kiso. This time the producer has taken on the track "Lost" by Saint Wknd feat. Inglsh and turned it into melodic deep tropical house bliss. Even though it's almost Christmas, an awesome summer like track is always welcome and might just help you feel warmer in the cold months (unless you're in Australia or something xD). Kiso is also giving this one away for free, so grab your own personal copy via the link below. Enjoy :)

Lights Low

L.A. based RKCB is out with an EP called Short Films containing a total of 6 tracks. One of the tracks included is "Lights Low", a very emotional indie/electronica song with a very enjoyable and easy listening vibe to it. The vocal plays a very important part creating a very calming atmosphere and the instrumental compliments that as well. Give "Lights Low" a listen, grab a free download and feel free to check out the remaining parts of the EP via the link below. Enjoy :)

Up next is a dope sounding single from Jarreau Vandal called "Nobody Else" feat. Brasstracks and Niya Wells. This is one of the grooviest tracks I've come across in a long time and it carries so much good energy, it's hard not to be infected by the vibe. A lot of that comes from the Brasstracks feature, which really makes this track sound super refreshing. There's no mention of a release date on this one yet, but "Nobody Else" is also the first single from Jarreau's upcoming EP called Suburb Superhero, so anticipate a release date soon. Until then, feel free to stream it all you want right here below:

Expensive

Two Friends are back with a banger remix for Tori Kelly's "Expensive". They have added their signatory punchy piano sound and taken the energy level to 11. The melody on this remix is one of my favourites from Two Friends so far. It's just goes like *****! Tori Kelly's strong vocal also plays a super important part in this and is able to keep up with the powerful instrumental. There's no release date for this as of yet, but feel free to stream it all you want right here below:

Up next is a track by Michl called "Kill Our Way To Heaven" in the Nebbra remix. The flavour of this remix is chillout/future and boooyaaa it works out well. If you're familiar with the original mix, you might notice that the future basis is almost already present, however Nebbra carries it out in style. Hit play and make sure to pick up a free download too :)

Jitter

Today's one and only is called "Jitter" by Grace Mitchel in the SNBRN remix. SNBRN is going back to his clubbier side with this new remix and has created a classic house beat and a fine, deep melodic vibe to go with "Jitter". It works out great and in my mind this is the type of music that SNBRN does best. It's also a free download, so make sure to grab a free download and make your Sunday sweeter!

Dynasty

Elephante has been crafting a new remix! This time it's "Dynasty" by MIIA and unlike some of Elephante's previous remixes this is actually quite different. It's not a melodic progressive house track. This version is characterised by a step-like composition, but still has plenty of melody and emotion, which fits well with the vibe from the original track. As the second drop comes in, you'll notice that the track goes a bit more towards "classic" Elephante mode. However, that makes sure that there's a dynamic progression in the track, making it super interesting to listen to. Give it a listen and make sure to pick up a free download too via the link below:

The One

From today and until Sunday there will only be time for me to feature one track each day, because some things in life just can't be done in front of a computer xD On Sunday I'll have an announcement ready to share with all of you which will have an effect on the next 8 weeks. So stay tuned :)

The track I am going to share with you today is called "The One" by the duo Chordashian feat. Great Good Fine OK. This is an upbeat, positive and funky sounding disco style track with some dope energy. On top of the disco vibe, there's a catchy piano house style riff, which adds punch but also makes the track super catchy. Hit play and if you want you can grab a free download of "The One" via the link below. Enjoy :)

Cheating On Me

Tom Misch has been adding his touch to a track by Kwabs and he has brought Zak Abel with him as well for vocals. "Cheating On Me" has gotten a complete overhaul and is now smoother than ever. The added string arrangement gives the track some extra emotion and on top of that comes Tom Misch's characteristic guitar sound and beat. This refix is like butter on toast. The toast is essential, but the butter makes it so much better! Unfortunately there's no mention of a release date, but stream this beautiful track all you want right here below:

Up next is a freebie from NYC based trio TKDJS called "Over You" feat. James Teale. This is proper house track! The swooshing synths and the bass arangement sound a little like the ones used on "Shades Of Grey" by Oliver Heldens & Shaun Frank. It's however still an awesome release, with lots of good house energy, a cracking beat and a cool vocal. Check the link below for a free download :)

Feels Like Home

Today's first track is called "Feels Like Home" by Dutch duo The Him feat. Son Mieux. What makes this track so awesome is the cool tribal style house vibe in combination with the lyrics and the superb vocal by Son Mieux. This is one of the more recognisable tracks I've heard in quite a while and especially the buildup before the drop really gets me. You can stream "Feels Like Home" right here or via Spotify (link below). Enjoy :)

Up next is a track by another duo. London based Tigerblood have created a track called "All In You" for Hebinomichi Vol. 3 and it's brilliant. The track starts out with some crazy chillout synths and develops into a combination of future and trap. It's absolutely worth a listen and you can even grab a free download too. Enjoy :)

Renaissance

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here. Steve James is back with an original track and it's called "Renaissance". It features Clairity of vocals and what a fine choice it is. Her voice gives the track some edge and fits really well with the vibe Steve has created on this track. As anticipated, this new track marks a step forward for Steve in terms of sound profile. That's not the only thing though...I have been blogging for a few years now, following plenty of artists and their development. Steve is probably the producer taking the biggest leaps forward in terms of skill. Every release he has put out has been better than the last. It's a remarkable development and a joy to follow. Enjoy "Renaissance" right here below or stream via Spotify.

Up next is a piece of oldschool West Coast sounding hip hop from the main man Handbook. The track called "Values" features some mad rhymes from Supreme Sol & Jrue and listening to it is like stepping into a time machine coming out the other end at 1989. Handbook knows his hip hop well and "Values" shows. Hip play, grab a free download and enjoy :)
