Coming Home

Today's first track comes from Oslo based producer Jerry Folk called "Stanley" feat. Tommellie & WoodzSTHLM. With his amazing ability to create tunes that have awesome melodies and catchy vibes, Jerry Folk has gone mostly instrumental on this piece, with the exception of a few vocal snips. Using organic sounds like running water or ticking clock, combined with his electro style melody, it gives the track a really nice flow and dynamic stage. Give it a listen yourself and grab a free download via the link below:

Today's second track comes from Seven Lions called "Coming Home", here in the Kap Slap remix. Having maintained the main theme from the original version, Kap Slap goes to town by adding energy and giving the track a super contagious and catchy sounding drop. Together with the indie vibe from Seven Lions, you get an indie electronica track that's ready to be played anywhere, in the club, in the car, or walking through a snowstorm. Kap Slap's remix is part of the official remix package for "Coming Home", which also contains versions by Soltan, Jason Ross, Sunday Service, 3LAU, Suspect 44 and Beatman & Ludmilla.

Bonus: In The Name Of Love

Sometimes it's good to be able to pull out a bonus track, especially when it's an awesome one like this. Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha have joined forces for this track called "In The Name Of Love". Having teased this track all summer during various shows and festivals, a lot of people have been patiently waiting for the full release. The track captures both emotion and the right amount of energy, to deliver a sound that's going to get stuck in your ear canal as soon as you hit that play button. I particularly appreciate how this track is quite different from Martin's other work, showing off his ability to create more than EDM bangers. Combined with Bebe Rexha's amazing vocal, "In The Name Of Love" is bound to be the next massive radio hit.

Day by Day

Remember that awesome earworm "Drinkee" by SOFI TUKKER? Well...that piece of awesomeness has now been remixed by Vintage Culture & Slow Motion! and that has resulted in the earwormness being greatly enhanced (not quite sure that makes sense, but hopefully you know what I mean). The main theme of "Drinkee" has been maintained, but the arrangement has been cleverly revised, making this track so catchy you won't be able to forget the track for the next many days. Figure out what I am talking about by pressing play or check out the link below for alternative options. Enjoy :)

Up next is a new single from the duo Disco Fries called "Day by Day" feat. Katt Rose. This is their go at a summer anthem and I think they've gotten away with it pretty well. The awesome piano chords, the sweet house beat and the excellent vocal makes this a track that will put you in a good mood...and it manages to do just that. In my book that's what summer anthems should be all about :D "Day by Day" is out now via Armada Zouk, check the link below if you want to pick up a copy or get alternative streaming options.

Up All Night

LA has proven to be quite nest for upcoming producers and particularly the electronic scene has a strong foothold there. Matt DiMona is one of those producers who popped up a few years ago and ever since he has amazed me with his unique sound and his relaxing vibes. He now returns with a brand new 5-track EP called "Up All Night". The track I've picked out from the EP is called "Next 2 U" feat. Kiki Halliday. It perfectly captures what it is I like about Matt's so-called "feel-good house music". A chillout instrumental, a soothing vocal and vibes to give you goosebumps (in the best possible way though) is how I would describe it, but my description doesn't make it justice.

From Matt DiMona's perspective, this EP has been a 6 month journey. There's a complete story buried within the 5 tracks, about his experience being in LA. Dive in to the story by pressing play and grab your own personal copy via the link below. Enjoy :)

Back in my own neck of the woods (or close by), Helsinki based producer Thrill Mode has created this deep house style version of Galantis' "No Money". Having changed the pitch on the vocal to the deeper side and giving "No Money" a catchy bass line has really paid off, making this track sound all new and fresh again. Slowing down the pace has also helped boosting the vibe of this track, but you need to give it a listen yourself, to really fully appreciate it :)

Escape

Today's first tune comes from just 19 year old LA based songwriter and producer CADE. The track "Escape" comes from his newly released 3-track Care EP and it's a perfectly chill and down to earth piece of electronica, with on point hints of trap. The melody is kept relatively simple, but I think that's what makes "Escape" stand out. It's also quite a catchy tune, also thanks to the dope vocal performance. Give it a spin yourself and stream/grab a copy via the link below.

Staying in LA, Two Friends return with a brand new remix for MAX's "Lights Down Low". Comparing the original version, with the version by Two Friends would make absolutely no sense, as they are both so radically different. The duo have worked their house-music-magic and turned "Lights Down Low" into a proper club anthem. I particularly like the bass line and that fine firecracker snare on the buildups. Combine that with their characteristic high energy sound profile, you've got yourself a mid-week party starter. Get/Stream "Lights Down Low" (Two Friends Remix) via the link below.

Running After

US house producer Amtrac returns with a brand new single from his forthcoming EP called "Running After // No Order". The track you'll find below is "Running After" and it stands out with its deep vibes and melodic tones. It's a track that works great in the club, but also as is. The blend between Amtrac's characteristic instrumental sound and the vocal sample is perfectly on point and gives "Running After" some nice dynamics and a versatile sound. The full EP will be released on August 5th, but you can stream "Running After" already now or pick up a copy via Juno.

Another new EP I want to mention today was made by Attlas and it's called Bloom EP. The Mau5trap signed producer captured my attention when everyone was thinking Attlas was a side project by Deadmau5. Turns out it wasn't. His new EP features a total of 5 tracks and one of them you can find below, which is called "Ryat". It's a crisp sounding melodic electro instrumental, with a lush and playful vibe. Bloom EP is a very diverse EP though and there is something for everyone to be found. Check out the link below to stream the full EP.

Limelite

Today's first track comes from NYC based producer Austin Millz called "Limelite" feat. Anishka. With a serious late night house vibe, this track provides the listener with a smooth and soulful vibe, backed up with an amazing vocal performance. According to Austin Millz, "Limelite" is supposed to be a tribute to oldschool house music and culture of the 80s, while still sounding fresh. That I think he has managed to capture spot on. You can get your own piece of these sweet vibes by picking up a copy via Itunes or stream via Spotify, as it's out now via High End Times. Enjoy :)

Up next is a track by Milwaukee based Thane feat. Marxus & Jamie Breiwick called "Summer In Paris". With a freakin' brilliant instrumental, it manages to be both simple, but super effective at the same time. The vibes on this track are seriously chill and that bit of jazz sax provides the cherry on top. The smooth vocal completes the package and makes this a track I can easily listen to over and over again. "Summer In Paris" is part of an EP called Gravity, containing 2 more tracks. You can check out all of it via Bandcamp, as it's out now.

The Coast

Let's start out a new week, with a bit of hip hop electronica. You might not have heard of Coolwater Set, but if I tell you that it's Far East Movement and Oslo based Autolaser it should already get you super excited. For this single called "The Coast" they've teamed up with none other than RAC and also featuring Jvzel on vocal. With a beautiful and classy sounding west coast hip hop vibe, they manage to combine what I appreciate about 90s hip hop and more modern hip hop styles, in the most ideal way possible. It's really one of those tracks that makes you want to get in a car late at night and cruise, watching city lights and chill. To me, it also sounds like it should be in a movie, as it's very theatrical.

With a track like this, hopefully we'll be hearing much more from Coolwater Set in the future. "The Coast" is out now and available as a free download via the link below.

If you came to the blog to find a proper house tune, fear not, I got you covered. Italian producer USAI has crafted this single called "Rhumba" and to me this is one of the best core instrumental house tunes I have heard all year. That's a bold statement, I know, but there's something about this track that makes it sound absolutely legendary. Although rumba is a dance from Cuba, I would not be surprised to hear this tune play at the Rio Olympics. With latin cues this awesome and a perfect summer release timing, you just have to play this tune everywhere you can. "Rhumba" is out now and available via Beatport (see link below).

Want You Need You

Today's first track is called "Want You Need You" by Toronto based Margeaux. With her sweet and soulful vocal and Kaytranada inspired instrumental, this track is an instant win. It's a track that does very well, combining multiple genres. It's a proper genre soup really, but what damn delicious soup it is! With this excellent release, I am hoping to hear much more from Margeaux in the near future. Up next is a big new release from Pierce Fulton. This is the first EP release from Pierce since 2011 and while that is special in itself, it also marks a new direction music wise for the U.S. producer. This new EP is called Borrowed Lives and features a total of 4 tracks. I've previously shown off the first single called "Make Me Blue", but in fairness it's the entire EP that needs your uninterrupted attention. Two more singles from the EP are featured below and I'll just leave them here for you to enjoy. You can stream/download the entire EP via most major platforms.

Army

Once in a while you have to allow yourself a bonus track, so here's Ellie Goulding's "Army" in the Justin Caruso remix. The L.A. based producer has gone to town on this track, adding his signature sound and vibe, turning "Army" into a melodic clubby trap track. I really like that you can still feel some of the vibe from the original version, but then comes that excellent drop that just makes "Army" 110% extra awesome. Hearing this together with Ellie's unique vocal is a perfect match and thus it sounds really natural and like it was always meant to be this way. Jorts FTW

Jorts is the new black, if you ask U.S. DJ Kaskade, who's been celebrating his passion for this jeans/shorts hybrid...not that I know what he's talking about?! Either way it has resulted in a collab with Too Many Zooz and a track that's rather different for Kaskade. No female vocalist, no smooth house beat...instead a grande tribal instrumental has seen the light of day. It does perhaps take a few listens to appreciate the genius behind this track, but once you start to feel the energy and rhythm of this track, along with its thundering horns, you know that it's something special.  Hit play below or check out all major platforms to grab a copy of "Jorts FTW".

Up next is a new remix by the amazing Fare Soldi for Godblesscomputers' "Sprits". Having stayed true to the main theme of the original mix, Fare Soldi add their amazing characteristic disco vibe in a way that's insanely catchy and also a tad hypnotising. Between Dreams

The last few days have been filled with soulful music on the blog, but now I'd like to takes things to a more clubby level with this release by Eagle I Stallian called "Between Dreams" feat. Brandon Mignacca. With a synth Deadmau5/Kaskade/Adam K & Soha inspired synth stab this track gets a somewhat retro house vibe, but that's also what I really like about it. Combined with some sweet piano chords and a nice vocal, the track is made for the early morning dance floor. "Between Dreams" is out now via EIS Recordings and available via Itunes or Beatport (see links below).

Up next is a track by Brandyn Burnette called "Closer". This isn't your regular version of "Closer" though, this is a remix by Sean Turk. Combining the original vocal with these late night style synths and the amazing horn sound on the drop, makes this track a proper earworm. The trap style beat also provides "Closer" with just the right amount of energy, as you'll hear as soon as you press that play button. Reverie

Let's start out with something for the soul. Aussie producer Spire has released this gem called "Reverie", beautifully blending chill electronica beats with a sweet piano background layer and an ideal soulful performance by FAWNA. With a few shiamisen strokes on top of everything, the track also gets a hint of Japanese vibes, which for some reason always sound very refreshing and exotic. Continuing along similar lines, El Paso based Frythm has a blissfull electro track up his sleeve called "Too Much", which sounds absolutely amazing. Save Me

Today's first track comes from Galactic Marvl called "Save Me". Having already remixed for Kaskade & Felix Cartal and The Chainsmokers, this mysterious character isn't messing around (except with his/her identity). Also, this is just the second single release so far from Galactic Marvl, so keeping in mind this relative short journey, our alien has already made a big impact. "Save Me" stands out with its grand instrumental, atmospheric vibe and the amazing vocal by Connor Foley. Give it a spin and grab a copy or alternative stream via the link below.

Continuing with more mysterious characters, the French group SIYYU has released a single called "Stop Us". It's unknown who are behind this group, but one thing is for sure: Their new track is awesome. With an indie electronica friendly vibe and a catchy melody, this track is yet another ideal track for the summer season. The vocal is also particularly interesting, as it's layered in a pretty clever way, making it a proper sing-a-long track.

Fade Out

I can't think of a summer that has produced so many new summer friendly tracks. Now S.F. based producer Viceroy is ready with his new hit called "Fade Out" Gavin Turek. It's a proper downtempo disco track, with plenty of feel good vibes thanks to some sweet guitar picks and some smooth atmospheric pad sounds. The groove is so nice and easy going, it makes you want to kick back, relax and enjoy a cool drink. "Fade Out" is out now and available via most major platforms (see link below).

Up next is a cool instrumental by Wolverhampton based producer CallumDr called "Ukiyo". With a lush electronic vibe and some excellent Japanese inspired sound elements, this track convinces with its catchy melody and combination between electronic and more organic sounds. "Ukiyo" is a reference to a specific Japanese era that describes a very pleasure oriented aspect of life. Before you google it though, be prepared for that NSFW content.

In My Head

It's been quite a while, but finally Steve James returns and he returns in a huge way with a new single release called "In My Head" feat. RKCB. The track captures a great sense of emotion, using some beautiful piano chords for the verses, but then the chorus turns it into a very uplifting track. This fits like hand in glove with the theme of the song and the style that the LA duo RKCB brings to the table. Having had a lot of success with his track "Renaissance", getting the follow up single just right is an artform in itself. With great confidence I can say that Steve James has mastered this. Having listened to this track on repeat for the last couple of days, I have to warn you: This is a proper earworm!

Another one of my favourite producers, Tom Misch, has now officially released his new 4-track EP called "Reverie". If you read the blog frequently you might have stumbled across one or two of his singles here on the blog, but the last single called "Follow" wasn't made public until recently. This track was co-written with his sister Laura Misch, who also happens to play the awesome sax you can hear on this track. Adding this to Tom's characteristic beats, guitar play and vocal, gives this track a heavenly soulful jazz vibe that will put a smile on your face. Don't Worry

It's Sunday, so "Don't Worry", cause that's the title of Autograf's latest track! It's a lovely easy going, mostly instrumental piece that's very melodic and chilled out. It's quite a dreamy track in fact and also somewhat different from what the group has released earlier. That being said, it's quite refreshing and curiously unfamiliar in a way, but that's also what makes this track extra exciting. "Don't Worry" is available as a free download, so hit the link below to get your own copy. Summer Heat

If you're based in Copenhagen just as me, you'll agree that the summer heat has pretty much disappeared for the last few weeks. Good thing Solidisco can provide us all with a different kind of "Summer Heat" then :) Their new single is a proper clubby summer hit, with some catchy lyrics and dope bass line. Catching On

Today's first track comes from the one and only Elephante and it's called "Catching On". The young producer has this time decided to go a bit more downtempo this time, with a light club vibe and some awesome wobbly bass. That vibe works perfectly together with the vocal by Nevve, who with her beautiful vocal gives the entire track a soothing feel. "Cathing On" is out now and available through most major music services, just check the link below. Enjoy :)

Up next is a track called "Let U Fall" from U.S. based producer Patrick Reza and it's the most awesome piece of trap/step/future bass style track you've have heard all week on MYWLT. It's a track that floats with positive vibes and the vocal by Aubren, gives the track that extra tad of lightness that makes it so perfectly balanced. The track came to be when Reza was going through a rough patch suffering from writers block, however with a track so fresh sounding as this, his struggles have hopefully cleared. Lit Up

I hope you guys are lit up and if you're not then Jean Tonique's new EP called "Lit Up" will accomplish just that. This is one of those tracks that will make you feel good, even on a rainy day. Make sure to check it out by hitting that play button below.

The EP also contains a second track called "Fallin'" which is mostly purely instrumental, but also deliciously funky and groovy. With a soft sounding house lead synth and some soothing retro sounds throughout the entire track, this track perfectly compliments the theme that's lit up!

Up next is a track by Alicia Keys that you might already know as "In Common", but you probably haven't heard it like this yet. U.S. based producer and DJ Kaskade got his hands on this track and turned it into a beautifully light club track. Make You Mine

Justin Jay is rounding up his album "Fantastic Voyage" by releasing the last single called "Make You Mine" feat. Josh Taylor. This track is probably the most bass heavy on the entire album, making it sound like a deep house techno indie style track and this is further enhanced by the use of some robotic vocal effects. Overall, Justin Jay again proves that he is extremely diverse, adding to the hype for the full and final release of "Fantastic Voyage". Give the track a listen below or stream via Spotify. Enjoy :)

Let's continuing with a new track by Torontonian duo Rainer + Grimm called "Do It Right". This piece of genius is filled to the brim with good vibes. Some sweet piano chords add lightness, while a catchy and pumping bass line fills the track with smooth club vibe. The vocal is also perfect for a track like this by being simple, yet effective. My Own Throne

Vancouver based producer Pat Lok is back with a new track called "My Own Throne" feat. Claire Mortifee. This guy can honestly do no wrong. With a prime example of a track, he manages to capture his signature electronic disco/funk sound with a on point beat and a beautiful vocal. The vocal helps generate a playful vibe which matches the groove and the melody at the same time. This track will be the title track for an upcoming EP, set to be released on July 22nd. Science Of The Heart

Killers On The Loose

"Killers On The Loose" is the title of B-Sides new single feat. Nevve and quite unfortunately it's also a title that's very relevant these days. Apart from hitting on a very delicate nerve, it's a really well produced track that stands out with its excellent trap vibe and beautiful vocal. The drop itself is nicely controlled, but overall the track is nicely balanced and still provides some on point energy. It's the first time I've featured a track by B-Sides on the blog, however he is not exactly what you would call a newcomer. Having worked with artists like Lupe Fiasco and Dr. Dre and tought fellow producers like Jauz and Nghtmre, he surely knows his craft. Up next is a track that you'll know sounds good just looking at the title. Autograf's track "Future Soup" has been remixed by German house genius Ferdinand Weber and the result is incredible smooth. Follow The Sun

Let's start out today's post with a proper melodic deep house track. You might know "Follow The Sun" by Xavier Rudd, but this particular version uses the cover by Caroline Pennell and was then remixed by Miami based producer Alyx Ander. Caroline's vocal gives the track a sweet haunting and atmospheric vibe, while the instrumental by Alyx Ander adds a layer that's essentially a blend of acoustic, deep and emotional house music. The end result is pure bliss in my opinion! You can stream the track right here or via Spotify (see link below).

Today's second track comes from Pierce Fulton who's about to release a new 4-track EP called Borrowed Lives, set to be released on July 22. This first single is called "Make Me Blue" and combines Pierce Fulton's signature guitar house sound, with his alternative indie inside. I think he manages to find a perfect sweet spot, making both his dance music fans happy and at the same time making other people discover his music by doing that indie combo. Not only does Pierce sing on this positive and summer-like sounding tune, but he has also added his vocal to the other 3 tracks on the EP. You can pre-order the Borrowed Lives EP right now and get "Make Me Blue" instantly via Itunes or stream via Spotify (see links below). Enjoy :)

Change of Hearts

Today's first tune comes from London based producer Catching Flies called "Change Of Hearts". It's a chill sounding beatstrumental track, using a heavily pitched vocal sample from Cheryl Lynn's "Got To Be Real". It doesn't sound anything like "Got To Be Real" though, but it's a well balanced electronica track that uses both electronic and organic sounds to stand out. When I listened to the track the first time it didn't strike me as special, but after a while it sinks in as a serious chillout earworm. It's a free download too, so grab yourself a copy via the link below:

Up next is a much more upbeat track. One of my favourite duo's, The Him, are back with a new single called "Balance" featuring Oktavian. The track is a melodic deep house club marvel, with a groovy bassline and a fresh & catchy sounding wodden xylo lead melody. The vocal is also worth pointing out as it's extremely on point for this track, without ever becoming too dominating. "Balance" is quite the appropriate title for the track, because it's literally a very balanced track. Apart from the stream below, you can find "Balance" on Spotify too via the link below:

Destination Sunrise

This summer in particular has just been packed with summer friendly beats and vibe and this next track joins the list. Brooklyn based Bit Funk has crafted this track here called "Destination Sunrise" feat. Nefe and manages to put you in an instant holiday mood. The good vibes on this track are powered by a perfect beat, a xylophone style melody, chill piano chords, groovy bassline and a perfect vocal for a track like this. "Destination Sunrise" will be out on July 8th, until then you can stream it all you want right here below:

Let's take a slightly deeper route with this next track coming from PLS&TY & Autolaser called "Hiding From The Rain", here in the Vasta Remix. With a very subby bassline and an almost industrial sounding tech beat, this track enters new territory. While the original mix sounds more like a chilled out GRiZ track, this version makes it much clubbier and darker sounding. This different style suits "Hiding From The Rain" well though and I guess it won't make you sad to hear that it's a free download as well! Go pick up your own copy via the link below:

Goddess

With a Swahili vocal track and a beautiful and ambient, yet club friendly vibe, Durante makes his return with the track "Goddess". The balance between electronic and organic sounds are elegantly mastered and it results in a track that sounds crisp and very special. It's music like this that makes the electronic music category interesting and worth paying attention to in my opinion. "Goddess" is part of Durante's recently released EP "Goddess/Cold" and you can find various streaming links via the link below. Enjoy :)

Up next is a new remix by French duo Dim Sum for Employee Of The Year's "Woman Army". With a slightly funky bass line and a delicious sounding synth, this track gets a French house sound and a very danceable vibe. Compared to the original version, the track is clubbier, but it still maintains some of its ambience and sensuality. Dim Sum's remix is included on Employee Of The Year's forthcoming album, set to be released on October 7th, but if you pre-order it now, you'll get the remix straight away. We Are Ghosts

Maybe you remember that not too long ago, LA based duo Two Friends remixed the track "I Miss You" by Blink 182? Well, now they are back with a re-remix of that track, teaming up with a D.C. based producer going by the name of Shoolz. This has resulted in the track getting a higher tempo and a super sweet trap like vibe. Personally, I think that increasing the bpm suits this remix really well, giving it some extra energy and perhaps even smoothing out the Blink 182 vocal a bit in the process. If you're in the U.S. celebrating 4th of July (or even if it's just a regular ol' Monday for you), then this is track you should add to your party playlist. Up next is something really special. The artist collective We Are Ghosts recently held an open session for producers to participate in their weekly session. Each week a challenge is posted on their social media sites and the artists then have to create a track that meet a specific set of criteria. For the open week challenge, a vocal sample had to be used and you can listen to the sample HERE. In total, 18 different producers participated and each made a sketch for a track, me included.

What came out during that week is absolutely mindblowing and really shows of the diversity of electronic music. In some ways this compares to a remix competition, except here the artists have had much more creative freedom, giving room for proper experimentation.

You can check out all 18 tracks below and some are available for free download too.

The We Are Ghosts collective will probably have another open session during the fall. So stay tuned and check out their social media to stay up to date (see links below)

So Clear

Today's first track comes from Dutch duo Kraak & Smaak, who have teamed up with Meeka Kates for one of the mellowest releases of 2016. With a catchy hook and a tempo that's on point for a track like this, it's a straight homerun for these guys. While the instrumental adds a cool base layer, Meeka Kates vocal gives the track an extra level of smoothness and provides the track with a  characteristic and recognisable sound that you probably won't forget soon. "So Clear" is out now and part of Kraak & Smaak's 5th studio album. Check out the link below for multiple streaming/purchasing options. Enjoy :)

Up next is a new remix by Sean Turk for Stephen's "Crossfire". The producer maintains some of that melodramatic vibe that the original had, but then goes to town on the drop. As you'll hear, this part stands out with its powerful and energetic trap inspired vibe and makes the track sound even darker than it did before, but in a truly awesome way. Sean Turk's remix is available as a free download via the link below.

Tears

Today's first track comes from the duo LDN Noise, who have teamed up with Pretty Sister for this track called "Tears". The instrumental is a danceable future house style track, with lots of energy and a catchy vibe. The dope and powerful vocal compliments that feeling, with its strong and characteristic sound. The bassline manages to make the track extra groovy, making this track perfect for the summer festival season. Give it a play below and pick up a copy via Itunes (see link below).

Let's round it up with a new take on a proper classic. Here's Tears For Fears with "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" in the Rhythm Scholar Remix. It's always like playing with fire when taking an oldie and making it clubby, but holy sh*t this is a banger! Adding a mix of disco and funk to this legendary 80's track works amazingly well and if you need a track to start your Saturday party, then this will do the trick...and you can even download it for free!

Somebody Told Me

Today's post features only one track, but it's a seriously good one! Disco Fries have released a new track called "Somebody Told Me" and it's a great melodic and deep style piano house tune. Besides having a great vibe, the track stands out by having a fantastic vocal by Chrissy Quadros. The combination is an instant winner in my book and it's even available as a free download.
