I Am The Elephante

Some big news have arrived from LA based producer Elephante, who is announcing his debut EP called "I Am The Elephante". Featuring a total of 9 tracks, including some of his biggest singles like "Catching On", "Closer" and "Black Ivory", calling it an EP is close to an understatement. With the announcement of the EP release, Elephante is revealing a new single called "Hold" featuring Jessica Jarrell. Compared to some of his previous releases, "Hold" is quite a downtempo track, but nonetheless captures that distinct sound I've come to love from Elephante. The vocal performance is also on point for a track like this. So grab a pair of headphones or fire up the stereo and press play! The full EP will be out on September 14th, but you can pre-order it right away and get hold of "Hold" (bad pun...but hey) :D

Up next is a collab between Shoffy and JackLNDN. The two have created a super smooth track called "Better Off Here". Thanks to a casual instrumental that uses oil drums for the melody, the vibe is chill and summer friendly. On Soundcloud the track description calls out the track for being "somewhere between nostalgia and paradise". Sounds about right to me. Grab a free download via the link below and enjoy the bliss.

Magic

A proper deep house tune can feel hypnotic, energetic and dope all at once...it's like magic, isn't it?! At least this new track by Norwegian producer SoundSAM, claims to be just that..."Magic". With an amazing bass line and a dynamic sound this track is able to capture exactly the things mentioned above. This is pretty far away from your regular ol' melodic house track, but what I like about this track is that it's able to keep me as a listener engaged, even though it is quite a long track with its +7 minutes. SoundSAM's new track is out now and available via Beatport (see link below).

Up next is a new remix by LA based producer Christofi for Opia's "Shadow Dances". For Christofi this is a more downtempo track than what he usually produces, however he still manages to pack in an appropriate amount of energy, by adding a light club vibe and a sweet melody. For a track like "Shadow Dances" this feels just right though. As it's quite a calming track to begin with, I like how Christofi has kept some of that in his remix. Dive

New York based producer Sean Turk starts out this week with a fantastic new remix for Salvatore's "Dive" feat. Enya & Alex Aris. While the trap vibe has been maintained, this remix stands out by with its emotional and deep melody. Once the drop hits, you're met with catchy vocal chop, accompanied by some lush synths that really enhance the before mentioned emotions. The vocal also feels right at home here, making you think the track was meant to be this way from the beginning. Sean Turk's remix is part of the official remix package, which also makes this his debut release with a major record label. In the remix package you'll also find versions by Sebastian Ingrosso & Salvatore, Vincent, Rob & Jack and P.A.F.F. All of them are out now and you can grab or stream them via most major platforms (see link below).

Up next is a remix by Swedish trio WYOMI for Azad's "Enough Of You", who have completely transformed this track. Giving it a more positive sounding and upbeat vibe suits "Enought Of You" really well. The trap beat has a nice energy to it and when the drop kicks in your met with a cascade of sounds, almost like fireworks going off. WYOMI's remix is like the track above, part of an official remix package, which also features remixes by SILQ and Cazzafura. They are all out now and available via Itunes. Enjoy :)

Needed Me

Let's end this weekend with a dope rework of Rihanna's "Needed Me" by LA based producer Skotia. I really like the added synths, which gives the track some more atmospheric vibes. The drop also gives the track a different energy, although parts of the original vibe have been maintained. The combination feels just right though and it's a great way to rediscover "Needed Me". Skotia is giving his rework away as a free download, so make sure to grab a copy while you can via the link below:

Closer

Even though The Chainsmokers' latest single hasn't seen an official remix package yet, the internet is not running short on unofficial versions. Some are awful, some are so-so, some ok...but this one takes the freakin gold medal! LA based duo Two Friends have teamed up with their buddies Class & Clowns, for this super dope version of "Closer". The sounds used for this are quite different from Two Friends usual repertoire, but this could be a sign towards Class & Clowns signature vibe. As it happens, this is Class & Clowns first ever release, so we'll see (and hear) what they'll come up with eventually. For now, feel free to enjoy this clever remix and brace yourself for that ultra lit drop!

If you're looking for something more chillout to enjoy this weekend, then you might want to check out this relaxing Summer Edit of Shallou's "Doubt". With a light and fresh sounding vibe, this tune will calm you right down. The synth and bass line give the track a subtle on point energy, which gives the track just a touch of movement, while still being very controlled and without becoming too complex. AHH

Let's start out today with some instrumental action. Dominican producer and drummer Seyer has created this amazing chillout tune called "AHH". The vibe feels refreshing and thanks to some clever reverb work, the track gets a light atmospheric touch, which makes it sound airy and summer friendly. "AHH" is part of a collaboration EP with producer Diego Raposo, which is set for release on the 23rd of September, via Point Records.

Up next is a track that I already teased at the beginning of this month, but now the full version is out and you've got to give it a listen!

Compared to the original version of Matoma's "False Alarm", Steve Void's version has a sweet upbeat club vibe, which works out amazingly well. The upbeat vibe also matches Becky Hills' vocal brilliantly, which in turn gives Steve Void's remix a proper house vibe. The bass line adds lots of movement and the punchy piano chords give the track a completely different energy. With this, you might just have found your next earworm!

Steve Void's remix is part of the official remix package, which also features version by Hook N' Sling, KC Lights and Mohito Campfire. The pack is out now and available via most major music platforms (see link below).

Brace

Today's first track comes from a Danish, Copenhagen based producer....yes you heard that right! Even though MYWLT is a blog based out of Denmark, rarely any music I post comes out of this fantastic place, so I am extra proud to share the latest production by Sekuoia called "Brace" feat. Marc Roland, who's also the lead singer in the group called Kentaur. With an easy going electro instrumental and a soulful vocal performance, "Brace" has a sound that is as smooth as a feather. I personally like the dreamy and atmospheric vibes and how those synth bounce on the chorus. If you can't wait to pick up this single, you're in luck. The release date is set for tomorrow, Friday 26th. Until then, feel free to stream it right here below. If you want to see and hear Sekuoia perform, he will be doing a tour around Europe very soon. Check his Facebook Events Page for dates.

Up next is something you'll find is a bit more clubby. Tabrizi & Jasonlo have remixes Calvin Harris' hit "Sweet Nothing". Can you ever get tired of hearing Florence Welch on this track? I can't! Rediscovering this 2012 hit makes me realise how time just flies. Fortunately I now have two version to enjoy...the original version from Calvin Harris' 18 Months album, or this excellent remix. Stay

Maybe I am a little late to the party in regards to featuring this amazing new single by Chet Porter called "Stay" feat. Chelsea Cutler on the blog, but if you haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, here's a new chance. I am going to call it right here and now: This is the best track I've heard by Chet Porter to date! Done deal...not gonna say more about it...I'm just going to leave it here. "Stay" is out now and available via Itunes (see link below).

Up next is a new single by Meeka Kates called "Wildfire". If you're familiar with Meeka's music, then you'll instantly recognise that smooth and unique vocal. The lush and easy going electro instrumental nicely sets the stage and makes this a perfect track for easy listening. When listening to "Wildfire" I also pick up a hint of George Michael influence in some parts, which I actually think is super cool. What do you think? Let me know via the socials :)

Ruins

Today's post will be a bit shorter than usual, but fear not, I got a good track coming for you. Here's Ryder with "Ruins" in the BKAYE & Ben Maxwell remix. I honestly have to admit I didn't know the original track before listening to this remix, but thankfully I am now much wiser and can fully appreciate this genius remix. The lush upbeat vibe makes it a nice casual listen, but with its heavy trap drop it becomes a very versatile track, ideal for a club setting as well. Also worth noting, is that Ryder's vocal sounds perfect in this different environment, which is well spotted by the remixers here. You can grab a free download of this cool remix via the link below. Nobody

Yup...it's Monday again, but here are some great tunes for you to discover and enjoy for the week (and beyond).

Hopefully you had the chance to check out Dim Sum's remix for Danelle's track "Numb" last week, otherwise click here. That remix was one of my favourite discoveries of the year, so naturally I am curious when there's more music coming from Danelle. So here's "Nobody" which she did together with Salda. It didn't take me more than a few seconds to fall for this track and one of the main reasons for that is Danelle's vocal. The vibe is light and summer friendly and although the vocal chop is one of the most overused effects of 2015/2016, I still find it appealing and suitable for a track like this. Give it a listen by hitting that play button and pick up a free download via the link below:

If you need something more upbeat, then you should check out this remix by New York based brother duo Anden for Satchmode's "Undertow". With a nice and atmospheric deep house vibe, they've gone total club mode on this track, which suits it really well due to it's special vocal track. Being known for their progressive house style, this more lush and melodic deep house sound suits Anden really well. I particularly like the addition of the live guitar, which adds some nice dynamics and makes the remix sound much more alive. Anden are giving away their remix as a free download, so you can pick up a copy via the link below. Enjoy :)

My Friend

Swiss producer EDX is back with a new single called "My Friend" and yup, it's awesome! It shouldn't come as a surprise that EDX can whisk up a proper house tune, but this is one of the better he's released lately in my opinion. Thanks to a thundering bass line, this track gets a fantastic deep house vibe, which combined with the synths on the drop create a really contagious club rhythm. If that doesn't do it for you, it does have cowbells too, so don't worry :) "My Friend" is out tomorrow, August 22nd, via Spinnin Records.

Up next is a remix by Alvin Risk for Jeremih's "Oui". Having maintained the original vibe, Alvin Risk has instead turned up the R&B and trap knobs up to 11. The song feels much more alive now, giving it more rhythm and an upbeat feel. It's a great way to rediscover "Oui" and it's diverse enough to work both an easy listening session or a club set. Check it out and grab a free download via Soundcloud. Enjoy!

Felt This Good (VIP)

Hopefully you've had the chance to hear US producer Kap Slap's latest single "Felt This Good" feat. M. Bronx. If you haven't, click here. Now he has released a new VIP version and accompanying video, which is technically speaking a live performance oriented remix of this original track. That being said, don't expect it to sound similar to the original version at all! The vibe is definitely more acoustic, thanks to some cool piano chords and a simpler arrangement. The electronic chopping effect on the drop gives it a nice and catchy groove and while the energy is much more subtle, it feels perfectly on point for a live version. Make sure to check out the dope video for the VIP version and find alternative stream via the link below. Enjoy!

Numb

Everytime I hear a new track by this Parisian duo, I get hungry...hungry for more Dim Sum! Their latest remix for Danelle's "Numb" is a lovely easy going piece of positive sounding indie chillout electronica. They've completely changed the vibe of the original track, but they've done it in such a way that it doesn't strike you as a remix. Increasing the tempo really suits "Numb" and helps boost the catchiness of the cool new melody that Dim Sum have added as well. While I am not sure this will be see an official release or download, you can stream the world out of it right here below. So make sure to smash that play button below and enjoy!

History

Los Angeles-based producer Gigamesh has released the first single called "History" from his forthcoming debut album called "Time Travel" . With a lush electro instrumental and a soulful vocal performance by Damon C Scott, this track is likely to become your next earworm. The groove and the energy is very contagious, thanks to an upbeat vibe and retro synth sounds. The new album will come out in two parts and include a total of 11 tracks. The first five tracks will be released as volume 1 on the 19th of August. However, you can pick up this first single right now from most major music platforms (see link below).

Up next is a track by Amtrac, who currently seems to be unstoppable. His new track called "Farewell" is yet another amazing and classy hypnotic deep house tune. The bass line in particular is what gives "Farewell" its catchy vibe, while strings add some nice space and lightness to the track, to counter the deep vibe. The track is also characterised by its somewhat industrial sound, but it gives the track a really cool underground feel to it. "Farewell" is track A of a new EP by Amtrac, set to be released on August 26th. Until then, feel free to stream it right here below:

With a cool combo of disco, hip hop and electro, this track is pure firestarter. The electro synths are exceptionally catchy, making you want to groove along spontaneously. Broke The Law

Today's one and only track is a new single release by the one and only Justin Jay. It turns out this guy can't stop making music :D Having just released what I thought was the last single from his album "Fantastic Voyage", this new one comes as a bit of a surprise. Whether it will end up on the album or not, we will have to see. For now, it's called "Broke The Law" feat. Sacha Robotti, Josh Taylor & Henry Was. It's a cracking 80's sounding electro track, with a fat and groovy bass line and a beast of a contagious vibe. No need to break the law to listen to this track. Shallow Waters

It's been a while, but Swiss producer Sebastian Carter is showing signs of life, with his new single called "Shallow Waters" from his forthcoming EP called City Lights. This track has a lovely chillout vibe, thanks to some nice organic sounds and an almost cinematic touch. It's easy to forget the world around you when listening to this, as "Shallow Waters" dreamy notes surround you. It's definitely one of the more interesting tracks I've come across recently, so I encourage you to give this a good listen. "Shallow Waters" is out now and available via the link below. Think

U.S. based producer Kiso has released a new tune called "Think". The original version was released about a year ago, but now Kiso has updated it with a vocal mix. While I am unfamiliar with the vocalist, I think her voice is really nice and makes "Think" a much more balanced and complete track. The track is what I would call a melodic deep house track and perhaps in this case a mix between deep house and tropical house, because of its nice summer friendly vibe. Give it a spin yourself here or via Spotify (link below).

I am a big fan of the original version of Young Franco's "Drop Your Love" feat. Dirty Radio, but now Jean Tonique has taken this track to funky town. The original vibe has been maintained, but it's been one up'ed on the grooviness. It's a super smooth remix and with Dirty Radio's dope vocal performance, the track sounds like it should have been this way from the beginning. Jean Tonique's version is part of the official remix package, which also includes remixes by Swindail, Jafunk and MSCLS and they are all out now (see link below).

Brand New

You've made it! It's Friday and you need some music for the weekend. Fear not, I got you covered :)

Let's start out with this brand new remix by Vasta for T-Pain's "I'm Sprung". This 2005 classic has just been 1-up'ed for the dance floor, getting a groovy house instrumental and some cool vocal chops. Faces

Candyland and Shoffy have joined forces for this new single called "Faces", combining both of their music styles into one. To some extend the track sounds a bit like a mashup, because the smooth Shoffy vibe goes full on high-speed train collision with Candyland's disruptive and trap inspired electro sound. However, the end result thrives by being very dynamic and well balanced - in a "fuck the genre" kind of way...and sometimes we all need a bit of that. It's refreshing and stirs things up. Creep

While I mostly focus on sharing dance friendly electronic music, sometimes you just have to move outside of the box in order to appreciate and share music that's really special sounding, like this cover by Swedish trio Ember Island for example. They've released their version of Radiohead's debut single from 1992 "Creep" and turned it into a wonderful emotional rollercoaster ride of awesomeness. The smooth vocal and the lush sounding instrumental makes it sound very calming and gives new life to this legendary track. Get Your Way

Brooklyn based duo Brasstracks have released a new cool single called "Get Your Way" feat. Roses Gabor. Up next are two new singles from producer VOKES, who has released his new EP "Fractalism". On that EP you will also find his hit "Backroad" feat. Nevve, however the two singles I'll be mentioning today are called "Cravings" and "Wrong". The two tracks are both nice and downtempo. "Wrong" is more of a chillout track, with its atmospheric vibe and haunting vocal, whereas "Cravings" is more of an indie electronica inspired track, however still with a lot of calming elements and sounds. Both sound awesome in their own right, in fact, the entire EP is pure gold! Give both these tracks a spin and check out the full EP via Spotify. Enjoy :)

Swedish producer Anevo returns with a new single called "Don't Shoot Me Down" feat. Jae-Mi. With a sweet guitar riff and dope beat and a catchy synth melody, this track is absolutely lit. It's a somewhat downtempo track, but that doesn't make it boring. The pace is perfectly on point, which also makes it very versatile and perfect for remixing if someone gets the chance to do that at some point. "Don't Shoot Me Down" is out now via Monstercat and available via the link below:

Up next is a mashup, yes you heard right! It's been a while since I've had the chance to share a cool mashup, mainly due to the classic copyright infringement dilemma and before you know it, they're taken down. Hopefully that won't be the case for Chicago based producer Trademark and his newest release called "Take It Back", combining Flume's "Never Be Like You", with the instrumental from Audien's remix for Halsey's "Colors". The two tracks compliment each other really well and you end up with a sweet indie electronica track, making "Never Be Like You" sound refreshingly different. Echo Lake

Today's first track comes from Pierce Fulton and is the last single from his new EP called "Borrowed Lives". With a distinct bass line and a dope indie electro vibe, this track is probably what best describes Pierce's new sound. His use of more real instruments is very evident and gives his new EP a very dynamic and natural feeling. Also, the fact that Pierce does everything on his own (singing, playing and singing), is a pure manifestation of his talents and it's great to hear it all unfold. You can check out the video below as well, where Pierce Fulton plays "Echo Lake" using spoons and forks as a midi controller.

Becoming successful through his progressive house music and numerous remixes, his new sound is a bold move, but one that's very admirable. This will hopefully get new fans onboard and give existing fans something to get excited about. I, for one, am very excited about "Borrowed Lives" and you can pick up now via the link below:

Up next is a remix by Norwegian duo Future Duper for Axwell & Ingrosso's "Thinking About You". Speeding up the tempo and manipulating the vocal in various ways has made this track stand out to my ears. That in combination with some cool guitar and a chill trap beat, makes it sound really great and adds a different kind of energy to the track. Wake Up Call

Shortly after marking his entrance and releasing a collab remix with Kaskade for RY X, mysterious producer Lipless drops his debut 3-track EP called "Wake Up Call". There's an ongoing theme on this EP, which is characterised by a rock inspired deep house note. That being said, the tracks all roam around different genres, yet that is actually what makes it so exciting to listen to. On the vocal front, the title track "Wake up Call" features the beautifully soothing voice of Haley, while "Give Me A Sign" delivers a cool and smooth sounding Georgi Kay. The final track "Two Of Us" is mostly instrumental, but nonetheless gives the listener a melodic and atmospheric sound that is worth diving into.

Overall this release feels right at home on Kaskade's own imprint Arkade. The EPs influences can be said to be familiar with the likes of The Brocks, Late Night Alumni, Fairchild and particularly some never Kaskade releases. It's a very characteristic and diverse sound, giving new fans something that feels familiar, making it easy to like Lipless' style.

No Limit

I can't say I am a big fan of Usher, although his music is tight. However when I heard this remix I got really excited. Norwegian producer Enchufe has crafted this chillout version of "No Limit" feat. Young Thug and it's a perfect blend of rap, rnb and electro. While the main theme has been maintained, the track now gets a nice break on the drop, where it opens up and gets a much more friendly sound that suits "No Limit" really well. In other remix related news, LA based producer Christofi has had a go with RKCB's "Elevated". Just as with the track above, the main theme has been maintained, but the club vibes have been one-up'ed and it works just like it was meant to be this way from the beginning. The energy is tight and it's now a track that makes you want to dance. You can still easily enjoy this track as is and that's what makes this remix so great in my opinion. Bonus: False Alarm

What's not to like about a bonus post?

You might know Matoma & Becky Hill's "False Alarm", but have you heard Dutch producer Steve Void's remix yet? Unfortunately there's only a preview available of it at this stage, however from what I can hear, it sounds absolutely awesome. The pace has been picked up and the tropical house vibe has been exchanged for a more club friendly vibe, which suits this track a lot. Steve Void will join Matoma on a US tour in the fall. Check out his social media for more and check out the remix below below.

Closer

The Chainsmokers are back!!! The duo returns with this new single called "Closer" feat. Halsey and in my opinion this is one of their best tracks to date. Although they've taken a break from their monthly release schedule, this track has been worth waiting for. "Closer" is for The Chainsmokers a refreshingly downtempo tune and perhaps mostly in line with "Roses" style wise. Drew Taggert also goes all in on the vocal compartment, providing more than just backing vocals this time. Although Halsey's vocal is utterly amazing, what makes "Closer" special to me is that it's a proper duet. Combine that with a super catchy instrumental and on-point sing-a-long worthy lyrics, The Chainsmokers have another hit on their hands.

For all Danish readers, The Chainsmokers will be coming to Copenhagen on October 23, playing at Amager Bio, as part of their European Tour. Check the link below for tickets.

Moving on from a US duo, to a Canadian duo, Young Bombs have released a new remix for Alan Walker's "Faded". Their version takes "Faded" into a completely different world, giving it a melodic trap inspired vibe. The drop in particular sounds a bit unexpected, but in a good way. The saw like synth adds both atmosphere and energy, yet still sounds very dynamic and even slightly wobbly in  a way. Not sure what I mean, just smash that play button and give it a good listen below. Enjoy :)
